Gawd, I miss this talented tongue. And I’m leaving it up to you if you want to deal with the first sentence figuratively or literally. I’d prefer the second, if you ask me. It sort of reminds me of the youthful, naughty brashness that I originally displayed in this good-for-nothing blog site.

So yes, devirginized Virginia, the signature nosebleed, supercalifragilisticexpialidocious English-speak of this narcissistic, angst-ridden bastard is back from semi-hibernation and it’s back with reinvigorated raves and rants yet again.

Folks who’ve gotten used to the wicked vernacular diatribe of Lio Loco, fret not. I am not leaving my bastardly kanto-speak for good. Heck, I owe a good deal of my current readership to the plain Tagalog dishings that I wrote last month. Why would I bite the hand that feeds this blog, right? Let’s just say I need to get a good grip of the yin and the yang, of the universal lingua franca and the nationalistic tongue. I need to savor the best of both worlds. And so yes, I will be leaping from the resident, American English-accented bastard bard to the widely popular, in-your-face Kanto Boy in this blog site every now and then.

The friggin’ panel interview for the Comms Coach position is over. Now I get to finally belch one big sigh of relief. It happened yesterday and up until today, I still find myself dazed and dumbfounded by the sheer stupidity I exhibited for the panel interviewers to dissect and examine. I was freakin’ tensed when I went in the board room for the grilling but for a self-confessed introvert, that’s a given. My mug of water was with me and it served as my refuge in the barren dessert that is my dry mouth, my oxygen for breathing difficulties at that time.

It did not help that I entered the four-walled hell reeking of SMB booze, which was only camouflaged by Julia’s (a teammate) Bench cologne ~~sprayed~~ bathed all over my body. Yep, you read that right. I went to the interview half-inebriated to suppress the stress and tension creeping up my system. Our shift ended at 12 noon but my turn for the interview was scheduled at 3pm. How do you kill the time and alleviate the pressure in one go? You swig some beer with your TL and some of your teammates, I’d tell you.

I always had this notion that drinking unleashes the innermost potential in you. You become the farthest quirky person you imagine yourself to be when you get drunk and when you’re about to pass out, you realize you are Clark Kent, only your underwear’s inside. Heck, people who are about to puke out the contents of the night’s merry-making even find themselves in awkward situations, perchance kissing the very person who accompanied them in the CR — nevermind if you’re a guy and the person who dragged your ass in the bowl is also of Adam’s descent. Ever wondered why after a dozen bottles, the guy friend next to you suddenly waxes poetic lines and philosophical shits? Or heck, why even you, yourself, become giddy and ranting in perfect English like a pig’s vagina all of a sudden? That’s the blatant power of alcohol, man.

Which got me perplexed up until now for in spite of my rosy cheeks and droopy eye slits, aftermaths of the after-shift drinking I had with Bisor and the rest of the gang, the power of alcohol apparently did nothing except have me talk nonsense. I was Ed, Edd, and Eddy blendered and I have only myself to blame. Lio Loco was Stupidity personified at that most unfortunate event, a major fail from Third World hell.

What made the interview a lot more difficult is the fact that one of the interviewers was my krasness in that whoring center in Makati. She is one of the higher ups, one of the Greek demigods descended from Mt. Olympus so to speak and I could not help reminding myself that I am just a mere mortal. Picture a petite Winona Ryder in her hottest prime, minus the klepto scandal and plus an oozing cranial juice to boot. That is her, only a whole lot better.

So there I was in front of the scrutinizers, meek as a lamb upfront but horny as a bee inside. In between my pseudo-attentive front and my erotic imaginings of Winona Ryder whipping my naked, Equus body, the panel asked me boring, perfunctory questions related to the job position and I answered halfheartedly I guess. Nay, make that badly. Every once in a while, I would wake up from my fantasy of dear hot Miss Ryder horseback-riding me to look at them straight in the eyes (a tip I got from my dearest TL; yes, we’re in good terms again) and blabber a pick-me-because-I-fit-the-job-to-a-T yadda yadda.

What upsets me is that the interview was easier than Rai and I expected and that I could have done better had I psyched myself about it prior to the date with the panelists. It was really no sweat to start with, more like just having a “Wala ka sa lolo ko” chichacorn marathon with your gang over some round table with Red Horse booze and slender GSM bottle necks. Yes, there were no traces of audible pauses if at all, no hesitating uhm’s and jittery ah’s, but what I blabbered about talked no sense.

One particular instance saw me being asked about my plans if ever I get the job and the loony Lovegood that I was at that time (I should have avoided the provocative stares of smart Winona Ryder…tsk tsk!), I groped for concrete goals and just cited two examples. Now, however, I can think of gazillion ideas on how the Comms Coach job could be instrumental in spiking up the agent stats. Please tell me I was a moron, for crying out loud.

Or was I? Would the definition of someone with imbecilic tendencies include dishing out a statement that include the words braggadocio, idiosyncrasy, exasperation, and albeit all at the same time? The problem with being a bibliophile is you tend to incorporate highfaluting words even when it’s not called for. And that’s exactly what I did during the interview. I mean I was not speaking to impress and to give the impression that I know vocabularies a lot of people would not even use in their entire lifetime. It just so happened I know those pompous words and my brain picked them at that exact instance for me to utter and to get my message across.

So now I am not expecting to bag the post. I backflipped and backflipped hard apparently. What a shame for such a narcissistic, angst-ridden bastard claiming to hold the seat of perfection. If there’s one thing I found insatiably good during the interview, it’s the subconscious sexual explorations I had with dear petite Madam Winona Ryder. Kidding, of course. If it’s not me, though, I wish it was either Rai or my other teammate, Liza, who gets the promotion. Rai, for her to stay in this call-whoring job and share with us the agony of assisting Occidental idiots connect to the Internet (she admits contemplating resignation) and Liza, for her to move forward faster and hopefully realize that there’s a giant opportunity in her midst to recuperate from the heartbreak.

Oh well, it does not do well to dwell in the past. What’s important is the present and how you use the present time to get yourself prepared for the future. The freakin’ interview’s over and I have other things to attend to. Gawd knows I have piles upon piles of backlogs to dust through. If I get the post, well and good – that means taking some time to review for the CPA Board would be finally feasible as the job, I am aware, is not as toxic as taking calls itself. If I don’t, just the same – this offer was something I did not ask in the first place so I might as well just charge it to experience. Geez. I’m becoming a tad deep! Is this really me talking?

And has anybody noticed? There’s a conspicuous absence of MTRCB-loathed, R18 expletives in this post. Where have all the clusterfuck, double douchebag bitches gone?

Off-topic:

I just tuned in to TV today and was shocked to find out that Francis M., the prime Pinoy rapper, is dead. Deceased. Lifeless. Departed. Gone. I am no music artist but this one, talented guy surely helped in defining the OPM consciousness among all of us. Kaleidoscope World is one song I’ve always awed at for the sheer vibrancy of the music and the stark message about life that it conveyed. This music man will definitely be missed. We all owe the master rapper some appreciation.

At nagkaalaman na nga. Hahaha! Tulad ng inaasahan ko, hindi ako pumasok sa Top 2 Showdown. Sabi sa comment, “spontaneous, fluent at may concrete plan” daw ako pero sa chichacorn chat na naganap, namumutiktik daw ako sa “shallow ideas”. Wehehehe. Kasi naman eh, kung nag-lap dance sana si Miss Winona Ryder with matching ikot sa sliding pole eh di sana, ginanahan ako’t lumabas ang ~~orgasmic juices~~ creative juices ko. Ayos lang, at least di naman ako nangulelat. Base sa average na pinakita samin kanina ni TL, nasa pangatlong puwesto ako sa anim na natira. I know, I’m rationalizing. Hakhak! Bottomline: back to puta calls ule. Lolz!

Pero ikinagagalak kong ipamalita sa inyo na pasok si Rai sa final showdown. Sa puntong ito, hinihingi ko ule ang prayers at powerhugz niyo para sa kateammate kong ‘to na napakabait at hiraman ko ng libro. Wehehe. Nyeta, kung hindi rin lang kami ni Liza, mas mabuting siya na lang. Sa kasalukuyang oras eh sinisimulan ko na ang pag-cast ng magic spell sa kakumpetensiya ni Rai. Sana epektib! Simulan niyo na rin ang pangungulam niyo. ‘Yun na.
